Principle of Lathe machine aims to shape an article of metal by causing work piece to be held and rotated by the chuck while tool bit is advanced into work slide causing the cutting or chamfering action. Lathe machine is designed to cut cylindrical metal stock to further produce screw threads, tapered work, drilling & chamfering, knurled surfaces and crankshafts. Manual lathe can be economical but efficiency and accuracy not unto the mark desired by industry segment in which they serve. External Operation enables threading, turning, facing and grooving cycles in which single point cutting tool axially with different features such as steps, chamfers and Tapers. Features are typically machined in multiple step cycles with small depth of cut until the needed diameter has been achieved.
